“Female reproductive anatomy” has historically been studied and defined by men, who have misunderstood many things about it. Even–especially!–the nomenclature is wrong at this point: it is neither exclusively female, as intersex and trans people can claim it, nor is it only about reproduction. Human cloning? We have the ability to clone humans; yet no one has, and what’s more, no one has declared that they’re going to. The oldest woman known to conceive naturally was 59; but another woman has given birth to babies conceived by IVF at the age of 73. This may not be so rare as scientists are better learning how to manipulate both reproduction and aging. Read more here .
