BORN WITHOUT A UTERUS OR VAGINA
MRKH syndrome is the name of a unusual medical condition that affects about one in 4,500 women. A child born with this syndrome may appear and feel like a completely normal girl until about the age of 16. She will have a normal appearing vagina, normal breast development, normal sexual identification, and a normal puberty. The usual first sign is failure to have her first period. Read more here!
HYPERTENSION IN PREGNANCY
About 7 percent of young adults in the United States have high blood pressure. In younger adults, systolic pressure is usually higher in men than women, but women do have an increased tendency toward hypertension when they are pregnant. Whether or not you are pregnant, the risk of hypertension increases with smoking, obesity, and kidney problems.
